Chasing Chilavert Sorare Blog.jpg

Chasing Chilavert is a Sorare blog and website made and maintained by us, David and Tom. Homegrown Belgians.

As David's socials we're getting busier by the day, we felt there was a need to gather and curate information
about certain aspects of the game. A place to share our 'knowledge', news and insights about Sorare and
football in general.
We're both passionate about football, football manager, investing and the exciting opportunities Sorare
brings to the community. We can't be the only ones that are setting our alarm clock Sunday morning
to catch the J-League games and follow how the players are doing?

In our own football playing times, unfortunately long ago, we've always known that goalkeepers are a special breed of player. Not to say mad as a hatter. But I doubt many people still remember José Luis Chilavert for the phenomenon that he is.
A goalie who heads in a corner or even a goal from the penaltyspot is not unique for a goalkeeper. But a goalkeeper who crosses the field to curl in a free kick is still something special.
As a keeper, Chilavert was know for his goalscoring abilities. Yes, you read that right. It saddens me that many of today's youngsters will be oblivious to Chilavert's glories. Over the course of his career, the excentric Chilavert scored 44 goals in league games and 8 goals with his national team Paraguay. He was the first goalkeeper ever to score a hattrick and was crowned best goalkeeper in the world in 1998. Madness.

We are always scouting for interesting players that could be a perfect fit in our line-up or cards that can be sold with a profit. This is how we came about the name Chasing Chilavert. We're always looking for the next goalkeeper. Can you imaging what a beast Chilavert would have been as a Sorare card? Scoring goals left and right.

Unfortunately, they don't make players like the colourful
Campos or dribbling sensation Higuita anymore. In this Sorare blog we won't be discussing the basics of Sorare but rather offer some in-depth views. These views are our own, we are not financial professionals in any way. Please do your own research.
